A unique choir from the West Midlands
Stream of Sound is an exciting acappella choir from Stourbridge, in the West Midlands. With members ranging from 12 to 25 years old, the choir has a unique sound and a strong following.
Stream of Sound’s typical material covers many genres… American ‘shape note’ hymns to African folk songs, Gospel and Jazz to Renaissance madrigals. There's something to suit every taste!
Where can I hear you?
We released a new CD last year, of entirely English music, for a change! E-mail us for more info. We’ve also been rehearsing for ‘The Beggar’s Opera’, working with students and graduates of the Newcastle Folk Degree course – take a look at our concerts page for more details…
Music from the heart and the soul, surely that's what singing in a choir is all about.
